OUCH!!!

Abby learned how to ride her bike without training wheels in April. She picked it up in 1 day and has been going strong ever since. We realized that she is getting too big for her 12" bike, and took her to Walmart to pick out a new one. she picked out a 16" Groovy girl bike, and Jilly got her old one. Steve was about ready to buy Jillian an new bike too, because like me, he is the younger sibling and the recipiant of all the hand me downs. I informed him that we will not be buying another 12" bike when we have a perfectly good one at home. We purchased a new bell to go on the old bike and told Jillian it wasn't sissy's old bike, it was Her New bike. All she saw was the new bell and was VERY happy! All that to say that last week Abby was ridding her new bike without her helmet on (I was sick on the couch and didn't know, Steve was outside working on the yard while watching them), and she fell face first off of her bike. She scratched up her nose and got a BIG goose egg on her forehead. It remided me of the time she fell off the kitchen chair and got a big bump, then the next week (when her sister was born) she had 2 black eyes. Hopfully we won't get the black eyes this time. We now wear our helmet EVERYTIME, even if Mom is not outside! :)
