Short again

Abby told me on Tuesday that she wanted me to call Hether, our beautician, and have her cut Abby's hair short again. She has been growing it out. I tried several times to get her to cut it short again, simply because I think it looks better with her fine hair (unfortunatly she has my hair). She has wanted to grow it out for about a year, so I asked her what made her change her mind. She said that it was just in her way and she was too hot. Anyone that knows Abby, knows that she is VERY hot natured! Hether wasn't in and so Abby wanted to see if Lisa would cut her hair (that's how bad she wanted it done). So, on Tuesday, we took her to get it done. I think it is SO CUTE, and it is so much easier to take care of! Summer, here we come!

WE WON!!!!!

I had my Sweet Adeline competition this last weekend in Richardson, TX. We are so excited that we won the contest. Not only did we place first, but we beat the 2nd place chorus by 47 points! This means in fall of 2008, we will be competing internationaly in....HAWAII!!! I'm so excited! Steve and I are really going to work hard this next year and see if we can swing bringing all 4 of us to the competition for a wonderful vacation! Steve is such a great dad, and took such good care of the girls while I was gone. They were on spring break so he had to take a day off of work. Abby and him were sick at the beginning of the week, and I was just glad that they got well and that Jilly and I didn't catch it before I left. He took them to the circus the first day. He also took them fishing, to the park, and flew kites. They had a great time! I had the camera with me, so he didn't get any pictures. i should have left it with him though because these are the only 3 picutes I took! I forgot that you cannot take pictures of the actual competition! To explain the pictures: I play Britney Spears in one of the songs that we sing. For the "Big Show" on Satuday night (after we won, we thought it would be funny if I wore a bald cap with a wig on top of it. Then, when it was time for "Britney" during the show, I took the wig off and was bald like she is. My dad was in the audience and said it was SO funny. With the light shining on the bald cap, you could see my hair thru it and it looked like stubble. So it really looked like I had shaved my head! The other picture is of my friend, Sherry. I thought it was such a cute picture. She is looking at our medal after we had won Saturday afternoon. Just like me, this was her first medal! Can't wait for Hawaii!

Yet another surgery

After having abdominal pain for a month or so, I figured that it was time to see the Doctor. To make a long story short, I ended up having Gallbladder surgery. I have to say that it has been a harder recovery than I thought. Everything is having to learn how to work again. Unfortunatly I will not be able to do any crunches for another month. I'm trying to hold back the tears! :) I was lucky to get it done before my competition last weekend so that I had about 2 weeks before I had to compete. I had a hard time singing and doing the choregraphy. Let's just say there was alot of sneak breathing!

Who needs clothes?

Jillian and Abby were messing around one night and realized that this Target sack make a really great dress. You can play the "drums" (aka. beat on the sack) and wear it at the same time! Who knew that a simple sack could do all that?

Like Father Like Daughter

Jillian has really enjoyed playing and singing with Steve's guitar lately. She is always playing with it. I think it is really cute when she plays it because it looks as big as a cello when she holds it up. Who knows, maybe he'll teach her to really play one day! She's got to be able to hold it first!

So Happy Together

I know it's been a while again, but I'm going to try to catch up. Ever since Jillian's birthday, the girls have wanted to sleep together. Not in Abby's big bed, but in Jillian's small room with the trundle beds pulled out. It worked great for a couple of weeks, and then it was starting to take a long time for them to fall asleep. Therefore they are back in their own beds now. Here are a couple of cute pics of them all suggled up together!
